sweetly or innocently charming; winning; engaging
one of an English breed of medium-sized, short-haired, muscular dogs with prominent, undershot jaws, usually having a white and tan or brindled coat
I was born in Memphis, TN and raised in Mississippi by parents who’d both been married before and had children from those previous marriages. I was the baby of the family, coming along late so that my closest sibling was 13 years older than I. My mother was an avid reader and passed her love of the written word on to me. By the time I was in middle school, I had an extensive personal library of a wide genre of titles and considered the local library to be the most awesome location in town.
At 16 I met the man who would become my husband. He was a Yankee, but so down to earth that we didn’t hold it against him. It’s been more than two and a half decades since we met, and I still adore him more than anyone or anything else in the world. He’s my best friend and the person I most enjoy being with.
Aside from reading, I also write – obviously. I collect cookbooks and recipes, love music of all types, hardly ever watch chick flicks, but love a good action/adventure or sci fi film. I like to sew, arrange flowers, make jewelry, and just about any other creative craft. I’m a camera junkie and don’t go anywhere without one. I’ve never lived a day in my life without at least one pet and hope that I never will. I consider my pets to be my kids and have no human children of my own, by choice. I’m a Christian with firm conservative views and libertarian leanings.
